Karen Lo, MD
Dr. Karen Lo is a distinguished Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon renowned for her cosmetic and reconstructive surgery expertise. A native of California, Dr. Lo's academic journey began at Columbia University in New York, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychiatry. Before embarking on her medical career, she gained valuable experience in the fashion industry in New York City, which enriched her aesthetic sensibility.
Dr. Lo pursued her medical degree at the prestigious University of California, Davis. Following this, she completed rigorous General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She received extensive training in reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, cosmetic surgery, and microsurgery during her time there.
Dr. Lo's profound passion for complex breast reconstruction is matched by her commitment to patient care and her holistic approach. She is an integral part of the ROSE Medical Center Multidisciplinary Breast Team. Her approach is deeply rooted in understanding her patients' individual stories, and she is dedicated to helping them overcome cancer and move on with their lives. Due to this commitment Dr Lo has pushed the envelope, and now often offers nipple sparing, direct to implant using new technology to repair nerves in order to restore nipple sensation after mastectomy.
